YOUTH VOLLEYBALL



3rd-4th Grade Instructional Volleyball

The instructional volleyball league is designed to teach the game of volleyball, develop fundamental skills, encourage participation, and above all, for participants to have fun! This program will be a six-week program. Participants must provide their own kneepads to play.

5th- 6th Grade Volleyball

This league focuses on fundamental skills, fun, and participations and social interaction through practice and organized games.  Practices can begin as soon as teams are formed and are scheduled through the coaches by court availability.  Games are Saturdays and played in surrounding communities.  Participants must provide their own kneepads and should wear non-marking athletic-soled shoes.

(All youth must play in the appropriate age/grade division. Requests to be moved to another division will only be granted by the Superintendent’s approval).

Fee:  $40.00 (If player needs an ERC Jersey)

          $20.00 (If player does not need a Jersey)

*Late fee starts on August 8th.

    $45.00 (If player needs an ERC Jersey)

    $25.00 (If player does not need a Jersey)

This league may have to be altered depending upon registration.

 



5th/6th grade Volleyball GAME SCHEDULE:
 

Procedures for Youth Team Sports:

1. All teams are formed by the Ellis Rec. Commission.

2. Requests for youth to be placed on the same team as a friend or with a specific coach are considered, but not guaranteed.

3. All programs have a registration deadline. Late registration sign-ups may not request to be placed on a specific team.

4. Requests for three coaches to coach a team together are not allowed unless one of the coaches does not have a child participating in the program. 

5. Youth will be contacted by their coaches to when/where practices will be held as well as game schedules.

6. Our goal is to provide the opportunity for participation to all who enter, regardless of skill or ability level. ERC wishes to provide youth with a fun learning experience and the opportunity to develop lifetime leisure skills.

7.  Ellis Rec. Commission will conduct or require criminal background check procedures to all adults acting as coaches, instructors, and teachers.
