Procedures for Youth Team Sports Registration Deadline: October 5 Fee: $40.00 (if athlete needs an ERC Basketball jersey) Season: November 6 through December 4 Registration Deadline: December 21, 2022
1. All teams are formed by the Ellis Rec. Commission.
2. Requests for youth to be placed on the same team as a friend or with a specific coach are considered, but not guaranteed.
3. All programs have a registration deadline. Late registration sign-ups may not request to be placed on a specific team.
4. Requests for three coaches to coach a team together are not allowed unless one of the coaches does not have a child participating in the program.
5. Youth will be contacted by their coaches to when/where practices will be held as well as game schedules.
6. Our goal is to provide the opportunity for participation to all who enter, regardless of skill or ability level. ERC wishes to provide youth with a fun learning experience and the opportunity to develop lifetime leisure skills.
7. Ellis Rec. Commission will conduct or require criminal background check procedures to all adults acting as coaches, instructors, and teachers.
5th-6th Grade NCK Basketball: These teams will travel and are coached by volunteers or parents. Practices for the youth division will be scheduled through the coaches and by court availability at the Ellis North High Campus. Youth practices can begin as soon as the teams are formed. Games are held on Saturdays. *Leagues may have to be altered depending on registration*

3rd - 7th Grade Hays Rec Basketball League: The Ellis Rec. this year will participate with the HRC basketball league for 3rd and 4th grade basketball. Games are held on mostly on Saturdays and some Sundays. Practices are held in Ellis and can begin as soon as the teams are formed and will be scheduled through the coaches and field availability.
All youth must play in the appropriate age/grade division. Requests to be moved to another division will only be granted by the Superintendent’s approval.

1st & 2nd Grade Instructional Basketball: This is an instructional program designed to teach the game of basketball, develop fundamentals, encourage participation, and above all for participants to have fun. Note! This is not a league.Fee: $20.00
